Budget planning, contractor performance evaluation, environmental data and research, and monitoring of the Board’s programmes.

The Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) Department leads planning, research, data management and performance monitoring for the Board.

Functions & responsibilities

Budgetary planning and implementation.
Evaluating the performance of waste contractors and scoring them in line with the contract agreement.
Conducting equipment audits twice a year.
Data capturing of all waste-carrying vehicles through tracking systems.
Evaluating, monitoring and reporting the progress and performance of the Board’s programmes and projects in line with the EPRS reporting template.
Coordinating the compilation of all departmental reports.
Liaising with the Ministry of Environment, the National Bureau of Statistics, the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and other relevant SDAs on environmental issues.
Environmental research programmes and planning.
Data analysis and demography of environmental protection applications.
Initiating programmes and projects to address environmental issues in the FCT.
Developing and formulating policies in conjunction with relevant departments.
